Workplace Ingesund Folk High School is one of Region Värmland's five folk high schools and has approximately 160 students and 30 employees. The school offers a diverse range of courses, including studies in music, crafts, and preparatory courses at primary and secondary levels. Your Responsibilities As a counselor/social pedagogue, you will work to strengthen participants' social development, contribute to creating environments that promote learning, development, and health. You will work preventatively and promotionally. You will work with individual participants, groups, and entire classes, as well as guide staff on issues related to participants' social and psychosocial situations. You will be part of the school's participant health team. Part of the position may also involve providing support for the school's dormitory where social pedagogical support may be needed. Part of the role is also to guide participants in study and career counseling. The assignment includes: - Individual conversations with participants - Driving the social aspect of the school's development work - Collaborating with other authorities - Dormitory support person - Support in study and career guidance Your Knowledge and Competencies We are seeking someone with a degree in social pedagogy, social work, behavioral science, or another relevant educational background. You should have experience and enjoy social work with adults with neuropsychiatric disabilities or with a native language other than Swedish, as well as experience working in a school health team. Strong IT skills as a pedagogical tool are required. Experience and good knowledge of folk high school methodology and educational format, as well as work experience in social education, are advantageous. A driver's license is desirable.
