Customized primary school in Lidingö conducts educational and care activities that enhance knowledge, quality of life, and participation in society for students with intellectual disabilities. We are now seeking a school social worker for a permanent position starting in January, comprising 50% of full-time hours. RESPONSIBILITIES As a school social worker, you will be part of the school's student health team, contributing psychosocial expertise at the organizational, group, and individual levels. Within the student health team, you will collaborate with the school nurse, special educator, school psychologist, school doctor, assistant principal, and principal. The team's mission is to work health-promoting and preventive measures together with other staff teams in the school to strengthen our students. Collaboration is important to us, and we support each other across professional boundaries in complex cases. Your responsibilities will include participating in and driving the school's ongoing values and safety work, conducting support conversations, motivational interviewing, collaborating with and supporting guardians, consulting with staff, and implementing group/class interventions. You will also work with external partners such as social services, habilitation, and child and adolescent psychiatry. A significant part of your work will involve conducting social assessments prior to admissions to the Customized primary school. These assignments will come from all preschools and some primary schools in Lidingö municipality. You will also play a crucial role in driving the implementation of "Backa Barnet" together with the principal and assistant principal, as well as providing students with knowledge and understanding of sexuality, consent, and relationships that enhance their safety, self-esteem, and respect for others. Within the administration, you will participate in professional meetings once a month with fellow social workers and engage in external supervision. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a qualified social worker with experience working as a school social worker. It is advantageous if you have previously worked in a Customized primary school and have experience with the target group of children with intellectual disabilities and/or neurodevelopmental disorders. Experience using visual support and signs as alternative and augmentative communication is also valuable to us. You are a clear, unpretentious, and communicative person with strong collaborative skills. You have a structured approach to work, are attentive, positive, and self-assured. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The municipality applies individual salary setting. The position comprises 50% of full-time hours, starting in January 2026 or as agreed. Welcome to Lidingö municipality!
