About this role
Region Primary Care operates extensive primary healthcare services throughout Region Västerbotten, serving patients of all ages in both urban and rural areas. With 33 health centers and local hospitals, we are where you are. We offer research and development, leveraging medical results to provide high-quality care with patient participation. We want our employees to be engaged, have influence, and feel pride in working in regional primary care. Here, you have the opportunity for a job where you can combine an interesting and developing professional life with a rich array of outdoor activities, both summer and winter.
The local hospitals are part of the Southern Lapland healthcare area, a model region in the transformation to proximity care. With effective collaboration and a focus on citizens, we drive important change initiatives within the region and together with the municipality. Clinical remote assessments and digital care meetings are rapidly developing and are a crucial part of ensuring good, close, and accessible care in this area. The local hospital model, which is a key starting point for proximity care, characterizes both the approach and working methods in daily operations.
Vilhelmina, Åsele, and Dorotea local hospitals are part of the same base unit, located in Southern Lapland, approximately 50 kilometers apart. The nearest hospital is in Lycksele, where the county's ambulance helicopter is stationed.
Our local hospitals function as well-equipped mini-hospitals with access to emergency care beds, radiology, ambulance services, and laboratory facilities. Our telemedicine use is highly developed. We have occupational therapists, midwives, physiotherapists, counselors, doctors, medical secretaries, nurses, and nursing assistants. We provide both emergency medical care and standard healthcare center work, with a well-developed collaboration between all professional groups and municipalities.
