About this role
**Curator for Enhanced Open Care, BUP**
**Job Description**
A unique opportunity is now available to apply for the Enhanced Open Care unit at BUP Örebro, as one of our team members is leaving us for new assignments after a long tenure with us. The Enhanced Open Care unit is part of Örebro's Child Psychiatry, offering services that are more intensive in duration and tailored to the individual circumstances of families. We have the flexibility to work in a dynamic manner within defined frameworks. In our treatment work, we have access to activity kitchens, art rooms, opportunities to provide treatment using VR technology (Virtual Reality), and treatment in environments both at the clinic and outside, including home visits. We also have the option of clinical schooling as part of the treatment process.
The team is characterized by professionalism, extensive experience, care for one another and those we serve, as well as a commitment to continuous development. Our facilities are beautifully located by the water in the E-building on the University Hospital campus.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is part of specialized psychiatric care. The department includes outpatient clinics, enhanced open care, and an inpatient unit with emergency services. A contact center for children and adolescents with mental health issues is also part of the services, with the mission to provide counseling, assessments, and triage to the appropriate level of care. We work with treatment both individually and in groups, as well as scheduled and urgent visits, along with phone counseling. We also offer psychoeducational treatment interventions to patients and their relatives. Together, we are about 150 employees working towards shared processes and goals. We operate in multiprofessional teams with a holistic view of the individual, adapting our care interventions to the patient’s needs and circumstances. We strive to promote children’s mental health and development and the involvement of relatives in care.
The Psychiatry sector in Region Örebro County is a specialist service divided into five operational areas, all with a strong focus on ethics, collaboration, and development, as well as a well-functioning educational and research environment. Together, we are approximately 900 employees.
Region Örebro County is one of the largest employers in the area and an important growth engine in the region. We work for the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and for the development of the county. We offer exciting and important jobs in various sectors including healthcare, dental care, public transportation, culture, and economic development. Together, we create a better life.
**Job Responsibilities**
The Enhanced Open Care unit performs intensive interventions on behalf of other clinics and in collaboration with families, addressing varied child psychiatric issues. We work integratively and evidence-based with a clear systemic approach that includes the entire family. You will work both independently and in interdisciplinary teams with psychologists, special educators, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other curators. Given the high complexity of our cases, a significant portion of the work will also involve collaboration with other stakeholders surrounding the child/adolescent. Some flexibility for remote work is available when the operations permit.
**Additional Information**
As we within Psychiatry prioritize our patients and value patient safety highly, we will request extracts from the police's suspected and criminal records in connection with the recruitment process. More information about the suspected and criminal records can be found in SFS 1999:1135 and SFS 1999:1134. We welcome your application! We have made our own arrangements for this recruitment and therefore kindly decline offers of advertising and recruitment assistance regarding this announcement.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for a licensed healthcare curator or someone with a degree in social work. Basic training in psychotherapy (level 1) is advantageous. Experience in child psychiatric work is also a merit. You should be interested in working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and with patients and their relatives to find solutions in often complex situations. We place great importance on personal suitability.
**Application**
The application should include a CV and a cover letter. References, grades, degrees, etc., will be required at a potential interview. If you are or have previously been employed by Region Örebro County, we will seek internal references from your current or previous supervisor if you are considered for employment. Checks of records from the Police Authority may be conducted in accordance with applicable legislation. We reserve the right to place our permanent employees, and in some cases, employees on fixed-term contracts. Learn more about what this entails.
