Today, approximately 14,600 students attend 29 primary schools and seven secondary schools. Kunskapsskolan is owned by founder Peje Emilsson and his family.

Kunskapsskolan Uppsala is a primary school for grades 4-9 with approximately 620 students today. The school started in 2007 and is located relatively centrally in Uppsala, making it easily accessible by bus. About the Role As a school counselor with us, you'll be a key person in our structured student health work. Your primary task is to create good conditions for youth health, learning, and personal development – regardless of their background.
You will be part of a tight-knit student health team alongside the school nurse and special education teacher, working together with the principal and other staff to prevent and promote health.
Your Main Responsibilities:
Counseling Conversations: Conduct support conversations with students (including conversations with interpreters).
Preventive Work: Proactively work on psychosocial issues at individual, group, and organizational levels.
Value-Based Work: Lead and facilitate exercises and discussions in full-class settings.
Method Development: You'll have significant opportunities to shape and influence your work methods and interventions.
Who Are You? We're seeking someone who is confident in their professional role and can distinguish between personal and professional boundaries. You are an exceptional relationship builder who listens, communicates, and handles conflicts constructively. To succeed in this role, you must be able to understand others' perspectives and quickly identify needs for health-promoting interventions.
You are equally comfortable working independently or collaboratively in a team, and always act according to current governing documents and procedures.
Qualifications:
Degree in Social Work or Behavioral Sciences.
Good proficiency with digital work tools.
Previous experience working with youth is meritorious.
