About this role

Kungälv Municipality is seeking individuals who want to make a difference! We need professional and motivated staff to deliver high-quality welfare services. Here, engagement and professional service go hand in hand while you contribute to influencing people's daily lives and society at large. A good workplace culture and support for your personal development are important to us. Your efforts matter! **Description** We are looking for a social worker for the authority's exercise of LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons) for a 6-month temporary position. Our area of operation, which belongs to the Safety and Support sector, is called Individual and Family Services. It currently consists of the Assistance Unit, Reception Unit, Children, Youth and Family, Adult Unit, as well as Implementation and Placement, Resource Unit, and Provider Unit. In the Assistance Unit, we handle services according to the Social Services Act and LSS. Ahead of January 1, 2026, there is a proposal for organizational change. In this proposal, LSS will be combined with social psychiatry and the municipality's placement support into a disability unit. The unit will consist of 18 employees. We are looking for a social worker who will work with the authority's exercise as well as the investigation and follow-up of services according to LSS and assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL) for children and adults within the disability area. Would you like the opportunity to grow and develop while engaging in meaningful, interesting, and challenging work? Then this could be the position for you! **Responsibilities** As a social worker, your primary task is to inform, investigate, make decisions, and follow up on services/assistance based on LSS and SoL. In your role, it is important to work with a holistic perspective, focusing on the individual. The work should be characterized by a good approach, well-founded decisions, and high legal security. To thrive in this role, we believe you are an engaged team player, but you also have the ability to work independently when required. You are clear, structured, and take responsibility for your assignments. You have the ability to manage several complex investigations simultaneously, and your flexibility allows you to quickly reprioritize your work when the situation demands it. It is important that you have an interest in the target group and are keen to adapt your working methods according to the needs of those you meet. You will work closely with the individual and the provider operations and be involved in designing individual solutions for those we encounter. You are interested in working evidence-based and have the ability to apply and share your knowledge. Accurate and correct documentation is a significant and important part of your work. We place great emphasis on a good professional approach towards those we serve, our partners, and each other. **Qualifications** We are looking for someone with a relevant higher education, such as a degree in social work or another bachelor's degree of at least 180 higher education credits that is deemed equivalent. We prefer that you have professional experience as a caseworker within authority exercise, and it is advantageous if you have experience with case management according to LSS. You are well-read in social law and administrative law. A valid driver's license (B) is required. As a caseworker for LSS, a very good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing, as well as experience in documentation, is essential. You should have the ability to articulate yourself pedagogically in both speech and writing. You are a development-oriented person with the ability to think outside the box and are expected to handle various types of cases with professionalism and respect. Knowledge and experience with the operational program Treserva and IBIC are required. Experience with alternative and augmentative communication is an advantage. As a person, you have a strong sense of service and work process-oriented. It is important that you enjoy working both independently and in collaboration with others.
