ABOUT THE POSITION Gavlegårdarna works every day to create safe, attractive, and sustainable homes. Currently, nearly 30,000 residents of Gävle live in their properties. By continuously renovating their buildings, constructing more apartments, creating green outdoor environments, and actively engaging in collaborations and social initiatives, they take the trust their tenants place in them seriously. As a public housing company with a significant opportunity to influence the surrounding community, Gavlegårdarna plays a central role in developing and managing several areas of the city. For over a hundred years, they have provided homes for thousands of families in Gävle and its surroundings. The customer service team at Gavlegårdarna consists of 16 customer service representatives. You will be part of a group that interacts with tenants and housing applicants through reception, phone, and chat functions. The position is set to start in early January 2026 and will run until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension. Working hours will be scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and all work will be conducted on-site. RESPONSIBILITIES In your role, you will have daily contact with Gavlegårdarna's customers and will staff the reception, phone, and chat. This is a varied job where you will provide top-notch service to Gavlegårdarna's customers. As a customer service representative, you will receive inquiries and handle them according to the company's processes and routines. Your responsibilities will include, among other things: * Answering general questions about rentals and applying for housing * Receiving inquiries from tenants, housing applicants, and other stakeholders * Handling maintenance requests and providing status updates on ongoing cases * Managing keys and access cards * Processing payment matters, such as rent payments, maintenance, and optional orders * Drafting agreements for parking spaces and storage units * Processing terminations of housing, parking spaces, and storage units WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO - Has a high school education or equivalent experience that we deem comparable - Holds a B driver's license - Is proficient with data and systems - Speaks and writes fluently in both Swedish and English, as the tasks require it It is advantageous if you have - Previous experience working in customer service - Experience in the housing industry Since you will have a lot of contact with our tenants via phone and email, we want you to be good at communicating, listening, and showing empathy in all interactions, regardless of the medium. As a person, you radiate joy, simplicity, and commitment in customer interactions. To succeed in this role, you should also be open and positive and enjoy working in a team. You thrive in a responsible work environment and can independently identify what tasks need to be completed.
