The Culture and Leisure Administration is responsible for the Abbey in Ystad, Ystad Art Museum, Ystad Library, Youth House, Cultural School, Ystad Arena Swimming Pool, and sports facilities, as well as maintaining close contact with the associations. About 100 employees work here to create good conditions for a stimulating and active leisure time and a rewarding, enriching cultural life for the residents of Ystad. JOB DESCRIPTION Do you want to help create meaningful cultural experiences for children and young people in our municipality? The Culture and Leisure Administration has the mission to increase accessibility and participation in cultural life throughout the municipality. As a cultural developer, you will work on planning, implementing, and developing the municipality's cultural activities for children and young people. You will plan and carry out cultural experiences for children and young people within primary and secondary schools. You will organize public programs and holiday activities. Innovative thinking and development are therefore important qualities for this position. Our operations are based on collaboration with various stakeholders, so it is essential that you are easy to work with and have the ability to create and maintain good relationships with both colleagues and visitors in our activities. The administration is small, and tasks may vary; therefore, a collaborative spirit within the administration is a given. You enjoy working both in front of a computer, in meetings with others, and in public contexts where you represent the organization. QUALIFICATIONS You have a university or college degree with a focus on cultural studies, children's culture, cultural administration, or equivalent. Alternatively, you have other experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience in organizing cultural events for children and young people, as well as managing and coordinating cultural projects. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, who can anchor and promote both verbally and in writing, and who is accustomed to using IT in their daily work. Your personal qualities are crucial for success in this role. You are outgoing and socially active in professional contexts, and you find it easy to create contacts and maintain relationships. You have a broad engagement in the field of culture, as well as in culture for health and well-being. We expect you to have a professional approach and easily identify opportunities and solutions. We also want you to be goal-oriented and flexible, accustomed to working independently and in a structured manner. You take initiative and have the ability to plan, implement, and follow up on work towards clear objectives. It is an advantage if you have: • Experience working in a politically governed organization. • Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and contracts. • A broad network within the cultural sector. For the position, a valid extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment. A B driver's license is required. We place great importance on personal suitability.
