About this role
Our colleague is going on parental leave, and therefore we are seeking a Culture Manager for young trees, a hands-on leader who wants to help develop our young tree production with a focus on quality, structure, and team spirit.
**About the Role**
As the Culture Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the cultural work in the young tree culture, which means you will both lead the daily operations and actively participate in production. You are an important part of an engaged team that ensures our plants thrive and grow, and that work flows smoothly throughout the seasons.
**Responsibilities**
The work is varied and consists of planning, management, and practical tasks. You will participate in the daily care of young trees to ensure high quality and good growth. Together with other responsible individuals, you will plan the tasks for the day and beyond, and lead the daily work for the team in young tree production.
The practical work includes, but is not limited to:
- Pruning and shaping
- Tying
- Potting and unpotting
- General care of young trees
You will monitor quality and production goals, be responsible for inventory and updating stock levels, and participate in readiness during summer and winter. An important part of the role is also to contribute to a positive, safe, and developmental workplace, where you support and motivate employees in their daily work.
**We Believe You Who Apply…**
…have a horticultural education or equivalent experience in plant cultivation. You have practical experience working with trees, gardens, or nurseries and enjoy a combined role where you work with the plants and lead others.
You have the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize the workday, and you are willing to lead and take responsibility for ensuring that work flows smoothly. As a person, you are positive, confident, and communicative; you motivate and support others and have a genuine interest in both plants and people.
To thrive in this role, you need to collaborate well with others but also feel comfortable working independently. A valid driver's license (B) is required, and it is advantageous if you have experience operating tractors or simpler machinery.
It is also advantageous if you have:
- Experience in personnel management
- Knowledge of young tree production and pruning/shaping
- Understanding of work tasks across seasons and annual cycles
- Experience in greenhouse management
- Previous experience from a nursery or similar production
- Plant protection training and forklift certification
**What We Offer**
A varied and meaningful position in a growing business, where you will have the opportunity to influence both production and the team's working methods. We value collaboration, responsibility, and joy in work, and we believe that success begins with a good working climate.
We also offer:
- Collective agreement
- Wellness allowance
- Good opportunities for professional development
**About the Position**
This position is a parental leave cover for 12 months. For the right person, there are good chances for extension. Start around March 1, 2026.
