JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Head of the Culture and Leisure Administration, you will lead the municipality's work in the fields of culture, sports, and leisure, with the responsibility for developing activities that enhance residents' quality of life and Växjö's attractiveness.
We are now seeking a leader who can advance the Culture and Leisure Administration and create clear structure, shared direction, and long-term sustainability during an expansive phase. The administration plays a central role in the municipality's efforts to improve residents' quality of life and is facing several exciting initiatives. About the Position
As the Head of the Culture and Leisure Administration, you will have overall responsibility for the areas of culture, libraries, sports, and leisure. You will lead an administration with engaged employees and operations characterized by professionalism, collaboration, and pride in the mission. You will lead through your management team and report directly to the Municipal Director and the Chair of the Cultural Committee.
The role entails a strategic overall responsibility from finance, planning, and operational management to developing the administration's role as a driving community actor in close collaboration with cultural and association life, other administrations and companies, as well as politics. As a member of the corporate management team, you will play an important role in contributing to Växjö's development from a broad perspective.
QUALIFICATIONS

Your Profile
Interest and understanding of culture, sports, and community life are seen as assets, but crucial is your ability to lead long-term development and create structure, order, and clarity. You are a leader with integrity and a holistic view, who collaborates well with others within the municipal group.
• You have a relevant academic education or equivalent competence through other education and work experience.
• You have experience in financial management and follow-up, as well as in building structure and processes in complex organizations.
• You have experience leading managers at a strategic level and working in a management team.
• You are accustomed to working in a politically governed organization or another operation with many stakeholders.
• You are experienced in handling media issues and act confidently in public contexts.
