Birka Gotland is the Baltic Sea's new entertainment cruise ship, offering recreation and experiences for everyday escapists. The vessel is operated by Gotland Alandia Cruises, founded in 2023 as a joint venture between the shipping companies Viking Line and Gotlandsbolaget. Birka Gotland will offer cruises and regular trips between Stockholm, Mariehamn, and Visby starting in spring 2024.
Our kitchen – a team of about 40 people per cruise – is now looking for new colleagues. We are seeking an experienced demi sous chef or à la carte cook who has:
• Relevant education
• Several years of cooking experience – both traditional Swedish cuisine and à la carte
• Strong knowledge of Swedish flavoring and various cooking methods
Regardless of the role, you are resilient under pressure, enjoy collaborating, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You like being around people and see the advantage of working intensively for a period to then have an equal amount of time off.
All roles also include safety responsibilities, and several digital courses must be completed prior to employment.
