JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Corrections Officer, You Will Be Part of a Team with Daily Client Contact. Tasks at Correctional Facilities Are Varied: Care, Supervision, Visitation, and Security Work Are Combined with Release Planning and Counseling/Motivational Work. Work at Detention Centers is Often Routine-Driven and Focused on Care and Security Tasks. Clients May Be Detained for Long Periods Without Meeting Anyone Other Than Their Lawyer and Detention Center Staff, Which Places Special Demands on You as a Corrections Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS
Your Personal Qualities Are Important to Us. As a Corrections Officer, You Need to Be Confident, Stable, and Have Good Self-Awareness. When Working with Colleagues to Drive Operations, You Need Good Collaboration Skills and the Ability to Communicate Clearly. Your Professional Practice Requires Good Judgment and Integrity. The Position Requires Good Physical Ability to Handle Potential Situations and Complete Physical Components of the Introductory Training.
We Are Looking for Candidates Who Have:
• Complete High School Education or Alternative Education Combined with Work Experience
• Work Experience, Including Seasonal Work, Hourly Positions, or Own Business (Internships and Volunteer Work Are Not Equivalent to Employment)
• Excellent Swedish Language Skills in Both Spoken and Written Communication
• Good Computer Literacy
Additional Qualifications That Are Advantageous:
• Knowledge in Relevant Areas Such as Behavioral Science, Criminology, Psychiatry, Law, or Conflict Management
• Work Experience in Corrections, Security, Social Care, Psychiatry, Healthcare, or Service Sectors like Retail, Hotel, or Restaurant Industries
