Description In the Municipality of Lidköping, we actively work to design support for people with disabilities to strengthen individual self-esteem and enable good living conditions based on personal wishes and needs. We are now seeking a support pedagogue who wants to drive the development of work methods and pedagogical approaches in our operations together with housing support workers and support assistants. The support pedagogue will be part of the work team and involved in daily operations. The Housing Support Unit within the Disability Area primarily serves individuals between 18-65 years old with: - Psychological disabilities, mental health issues, and substance abuse - Neuropsychiatric disabilities Housing support aims to provide professional support to individuals in ordinary housing. The individual's wishes form the basis for housing support design, utilizing the user's abilities. The intervention should pedagogically support strengthening the individual's ability to manage daily life. Work Tasks As a support pedagogue, you will develop, plan, evaluate, and lead pedagogical work while participating in day-to-day support for users in their daily lives. You are expected to drive method development and provide methodological guidance to colleagues based on individual needs and interests. You will also be responsible for pedagogical assessments and mapping to find appropriate support and adaptations for each user. Working with established goals with colleagues and participating in creating implementation plans are also part of your role as a support pedagogue. We work in teams and actively focus on strengthening the user's self-esteem and independence, emphasizing individual strengths, knowledge, and assets. Support pedagogues also collaborate with other operations and professionals, such as physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists, and daily activities. As a support pedagogue, you will be part of a network with regular meetings with other pedagogues in the municipality. Qualifications You should have an education as a support pedagogue or equivalent, and professional experience is meritorious. You are confident and independent in working with clarifying pedagogy, adaptations, communication, and challenging behaviors. Working in teams and without prestige is natural for you. You have an aptitude for planning and evaluation and a strong sense of responsibility for supporting colleagues and being active in development work in consultation with other employees and unit managers. We place great importance on personal suitability, where attentiveness, creativity, and independence are important qualities. Furthermore, you have a professional reflective approach, ability to collaborate with individuals, relatives, colleagues, and other professional groups. The work requires working pedagogically in a structured and clarifying manner, seeing the big picture, and ability to lead/guide other employees in groups and individually. We are seeking someone with a big heart who, with commitment and goal-orientation, wants to help further develop our operations. Conditions The position is full-time and permanent. Selection will be ongoing during the application period. Your working hours as a support pedagogue will be during day, evening, and weekend shifts. We will request an extract from the criminal record before employment. A manual transmission driver's license (B-license) is required.
