Are you also creative, proactive, and comfortable working both practically and in a planned manner? If so, you might be the person we are looking for to fill the role of coordinator at Äskhults by! The Role of Coordinator with Us As a coordinator at Äskhults by, you play a vital role in conveying and preserving the village's cultural heritage. Together with the site's business developer, you will plan, coordinate, and implement activities and events that make the village vibrant and accessible to visitors throughout the year. You will also work closely with other competencies associated with the site to create a comprehensive experience that reflects the unique character of Äskhults by. During the peak season, you will primarily work with welcoming visitors and tourists, guiding them, and creating a warm and memorable experience that conveys the feeling of life in 19th-century Äskhult. In the off-season, you will focus on receiving booked groups—from school classes to senior associations and other interested parties—as well as planning upcoming activities and developing the operations. You will have a central role in managing the group booking process and will be involved in creating and organizing both larger events and smaller program items, such as holiday activities. Part of the assignment also involves contributing to maintaining the village in good condition and ensuring that the visitor experience is always of high quality. This includes presenting and bringing the village's environments to life, as well as performing basic care and supervision of the museum's objects, props, and costumes. The position entails periods of high tempo, especially during the summer when Äskults by is in its peak season. Weekend work occurs regularly. The employment is part-time (50%) and follows the seasonal variations of the operations. Your Profile We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in cultural history, storytelling, and meeting people. You are responsible, structured, and able to plan and organize your work efficiently. At the same time, you are flexible and solution-oriented, seeing opportunities when circumstances change. You are self-driven but also enjoy collaborating and contributing to a positive work environment. You easily establish contact, greet people with warmth and professionalism, and enjoy sharing your knowledge in an accessible and engaging manner. Personal suitability will be given great importance.
