The Coordinator Support function within the Administration for Support for Persons with Disabilities is seeking two new coordinators.
You will work with parents who have children with disabilities, and there is a significant need for support to make everyday life manageable. The family’s support needs are often met by multiple entities within the region, municipality, and other stakeholders. As a coordinator, you will assist in coordinating support that often arises from a complex situation around the family. The role includes collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
As a coordinator, you will focus on the specific needs of the family concerning the child. You will work on behalf of the parents and function as a resource for a limited period. Your tasks will include:
We are looking for someone with a passion for helping others and an understanding of the challenges parents of children with disabilities may face. The role requires a higher education degree such as social work, social care, behavioral sciences, or another relevant academic qualification as assessed suitable by the employer. We also expect you to have experience working with individuals with disabilities.
We seek an organized and clear person with documented experience in effectively organizing and prioritizing their work. You should have good knowledge of the conditions, living circumstances, and rights applicable to families with children with disabilities.
The role requires the ability to empathize with others' situations and base your work on their individual support needs. It is also essential to create a good collaborative climate with both colleagues and various partners. The ability to view situations from multiple perspectives while maintaining a holistic view is central to this work.
