About the Position In the role of inspector, you will monitor that closures on public land, restorations, excavations, and other uses of public land are carried out in accordance with the decisions made by the Technical and Service Committee. The work primarily involves being out in the field to ensure that the necessary permits are in place and that work is conducted according to the decisions. The role also includes being a point of contact for contractors who have questions regarding their closures or land leases. As an inspector in the Technical and Service Administration, you will work with a variety of issues that may be included in the position. Examples of Responsibilities: • Processing excavation permits • Coordinating closures • Managing closures on public land • Ensuring that approved traffic plans are followed as per decisions • Preparing documentation that serves as the basis for any claims for penalties • Monitoring that timelines are adhered to following granted permits About the Workplace Our operations are responsible for, among other things, the municipality's streets, roads, pedestrian and cycle paths, squares, parks, and green spaces. We also manage water and sewage, waste management, and the municipality's food production for preschools, schools, and care facilities. The administration produces and sells biogas and is responsible for the municipality's vehicles and internal mail handling. Our operations extend throughout Örebro Municipality. The Street and Traffic unit, of which the Authority and Traffic group is a part, is responsible for local traffic regulations, traffic safety, traffic signals, signage, parking supervision, as well as permitting and regulatory enforcement within the operational area. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you need to have an excellent ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. Your communication skills are complemented by an ability to see the bigger picture and consider the overall best interests of the organization. Since traffic safety is a central part of our work, you are also very safety-conscious and have a natural ability to identify risks and adhere to routines and regulations with great precision. As the job involves a lot of communication and reporting, you have a good command of the Swedish language and possess strong English language skills. Furthermore, you need to have excellent computer skills as the work involves digital documentation in operational systems. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
