About this role

As a nurse in prostate cancer care, you have one of the most important roles in healthcare: to be there for patients throughout their care journey. Here, you will have a job that is both meaningful and truly makes a difference. We are currently seeking a contact nurse to join us at the Urology Clinic. You will become part of a competent and cohesive team, where engagement and collaboration are central, and the patient is always our shared focus. The Urology Clinic at Sunderby Hospital is part of the Division of Regional Healthcare 2 and the area of General Surgery/Urology. As a regional clinic, we are responsible for urological care throughout Norrbotten, with clinics at all hospitals. We are looking for a licensed nurse with good knowledge of Swedish and English. If you have training as a contact nurse, experience in urological or oncological care, outpatient work, or additional language skills, we consider this an advantage. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. As a person, you are self-driven, flexible, and able to adapt to changing circumstances, remaining calm, stable, and controlled in stressful or pressurized situations. You value and recognize the benefits of collaboration with others. What you will be working on As a contact nurse, you will play a key role in prostate cancer care. You will be a reliable contact for patients and their relatives throughout the care journey, providing support, coordinating efforts, and managing treatment follow-ups. The role includes both outpatient work and telephone advice, as well as scheduling appointments and performing prescribed treatments. Together with a colleague, you will be responsible for patients within the diagnosis area of prostate cancer, and you will also contribute to developing and organizing the work of the contact nurse.
