Laxå Special Vehicles builds and develops truck cabs and chassis on behalf of our owner, Scania. As part of the Scania Group, our collaboration with Scania is becoming increasingly integrated. The complexity of assignments is growing with technological advancements, where flexibility, innovation, and speed to market are essential principles for us. We are now looking for a Designer for our specialty vehicle manufacturing. Laxå Special Vehicles' mission is to build customized truck cabs and chassis for Scania, our owner and customer. We are solution-oriented, quality-conscious, and driven by continuous development. The role of a designer with us means being a creator within vehicle development. In our development and engineering department, you will contribute your expertise during the exciting development phase when we create new solutions for future modifications. The work often takes place in development projects alongside other competencies within the company. The starting point is both products from Scania's segment that we develop customer adaptations based on, as well as new products that we develop together with Scania. As a designer with us, you contribute your expertise during an exciting time when we are also working with technologies for autonomous and electrified vehicles. The assignment involves design work in both cab and chassis operations, and tasks include mechanical design as well as electrical design, VCA, and VCB.
We currently have 3 designers in the development department and 3 mechanics in the prototype workshop.
