About Us
Our Grid Optimization department plays a crucial role in the energy transition, as we are responsible for planning and designing the regional grid based on current conditions and future needs. Our work provides the conditions for stable and secure electricity delivery while enabling connections for renewable energy production and new withdrawal customers. Grid Optimization is also responsible for monitoring investments, both from a technical and economic perspective, to ensure that investment goals and technical needs are met in a timely manner.
Within Grid Optimization, Project Design plays a key role in driving our reinvestment and connection projects forward. Together, we ensure that projects are implemented with high quality and long-term sustainability, allowing facilities to be managed efficiently over time. Simultaneously, we contribute technical expertise and collaborate extensively to develop and future-proof our power grid.
To succeed in this, we are strengthening our Project Design teams and are seeking colleagues who want to create lasting change while ensuring energy supply for our customers, both now and in the future!
Your Role
As a Power Line Designer, you are offered a key role in our projects to expand, reinforce, and modernize our regional grid lines. You will work on everything from preliminary studies and dimensioning to solving technical challenges during construction – and you'll do this together with project managers, project design leaders, and other specialists who share your passion for smart solutions and sustainable systems.
In your daily work, you are responsible for developing sustainable and feasible design solutions – from CAD design and technical calculations to adjustments under changing field conditions. Your job ensures that our grid networks hold up, both in theory and in practice. You'll work closely with our line-focused team, and although much of the work occurs at a computer, your contribution is crucial in reality.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone with experience in technical design of regional overhead power lines – either as a designer, project planner, or from the contractor side with a deep understanding of grid construction. You have worked on regional grid projects and know how a line design should look to be both safe, efficient, and feasible. We also expect you to have good knowledge of CAD tools and other calculation programs.
We are looking for a curious and committed person who enjoys working with others. In this role, collaboration is key, and you will have many daily contact points with project design leaders and project managers. Therefore, we prefer someone who is communicative, free from ego, and enjoys contributing to a good work climate. You have the ability to switch between details and the big picture, and you are driven to find solutions that actually work in reality. Additionally, you value structure and quality without getting stuck in perfectionism. Getting things done and delivering on time, even when plans change along the way, is something you approach with clear focus. You see the value in understanding how different parts interconnect and are not afraid to ask questions, test ideas, or adjust a plan when needed.
What Is It Like Working with Us?
We look forward to welcoming you to our two Project Design groups. Here, you are offered a developing role where you can influence the future energy system alongside colleagues in roles such as project planners, project design leaders, and designers. We have a culture characterized by collaboration and innovation – and we are seeking those who want to be part of this journey with us!
Warmly welcome to apply and join us on the path toward a sustainable society! Last application date is November 24th.
