ABOUT THE POSITION
Our client is a Swedish company specialized in developing and manufacturing pump stations for drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater. Their products play a central role in water and sewage infrastructure by ensuring efficient water transport to households and industries, and directing wastewater to treatment plants. The company is a leading actor in the water and sewage industry and part of a larger group. They develop and manufacture sustainable pump stations and pressure boosting stations for the Nordic market. Through technology, experience, and commitment, they deliver reliable and efficient water and sewage solutions that contribute to a more sustainable society.
As a design engineer at our client, you'll be a key person throughout the entire process – from design, dimensioning, and construction to prefabrication and piping system assembly. You'll work with both standardized solutions and customized designs for concrete pump stations. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, production, and assembly. You'll contribute technical expertise, advice, and problem-solving skills in all project phases. Here, you'll have the opportunity to develop continuously – both technically and personally – in an organization that values curiosity and learning.
As a consultant, you'll be based at our client's office in Västerås and work closely with production, providing a unique insight into how their products are manufactured and used in reality. Since our client operates in multiple locations, some travel around the country may occur.

WORK TASKS
Work Tasks
* Design piping systems and concrete housings for water and sewage pump stations
* Develop efficient and reliable solutions
* Produce review, construction, and relationship documents
* Ensure drawings, components, and assembly meet requirements and industry standards
* Stay updated on industry developments, materials, and technology
* Support colleagues in projects, production, and sales with technical advice
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Have an engineering degree or equivalent experience in construction, civil engineering, water and sewage technology, or similar
- Good experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar systems
- Good knowledge of the Office package
- B driver's license
It is meritorious if you have
- Practical experience in concrete manufacturing or water and sewage installation
- Experience dimensioning piping systems and/or concrete housings
- Experience performing flow calculations
- Strong technical interest
