The Secret Agency Needs Reinforcement – New Recruits Sought for Highly Personal Assignments
I am the agency's operational chief: 43 years old, visual artist, and based in central Gävle. Since my muscles are on the slimmer side, I move around with a power wheelchair and therefore need to borrow your arms and hands to make daily life function.
As a personal assistant – or secret agent, as we call it here – you'll work closely with me while respecting my integrity. You'll act more than you'll be seen, and it's important that you are perceptive and can adapt to my way of doing things.
Your Mission:
• Assistance with toilet needs, dressing, and mobility
• Household chores, cooking, and shopping
• Accompany me to summer cottage, studio, or during travels
• Provide a calm and present support in my activities
You Who Apply:
• Are attentive, flexible, confident, and quick to learn
• Have humor and self-distance
• Good physical condition – manual lifting will occur
• Are female (due to the nature of certain work tasks)
• Preferably have experience in service professions (but not required)
• Willing to be vaccinated during pandemics (I have reduced respiratory capacity)
Your calmness, reliability, and empathy are more important than previous assistant experience – I will provide introduction. Driver's license/car is a plus for transportation to/from my summer cottage.
Scope & Times:
• Currently seeking substitutes during absences
Shifts are typically:
24-hour shifts 10-10 including 5.25 hours of sleeping on-call, some shifts can be divided 18-10 or 10-18.
Flexibility is a must – but can also be reciprocated.
