About the Job
As an art teacher at Blekinge Folk High School, you'll become part of a creative and curious learning environment where visual art is at the center. You'll plan and lead instruction in both two- and three-dimensional expressions, with the opportunity to let your own artistic competence and pedagogical experience inspire others.
You'll work daily alongside engaged colleagues focusing on painting, photography, and ceramics – together forming a team that complements and develops each other. Furthermore, you'll contribute new perspectives and gladly share your own way of thinking and creating.
In your role as art teacher, you'll guide participants through practical and theoretical elements, spark creativity, and provide support in their artistic expression. You'll also help develop instruction in dialogue with colleagues and participants – in true folk high school spirit, where learning is shaped together and art becomes a path to personal and artistic development.
About You
We're seeking someone with an artistic education, preferably with a pedagogical orientation and experience teaching adults. You ideally have knowledge in multiple expression forms – such as printing and textile printing, photography and photo transfer, painting (oil or watercolor), sculpture and three-dimensional work, and art history.
Experience with folk high schools or other forms of public education is meritorious.
As a person, you have a curious and inclusive pedagogical approach. You enjoy creating environments where participants can explore, develop, and grow in their creativity.
