Then the position of Legal Counsel at the Swedish Competition Authority is something for you. We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel for our Legal and International Affairs Unit. This is a temporary position for approximately one year, starting in mid-January 2026. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop in a stimulating and pleasant work environment. About the Unit The legal function belongs to the Legal and International Affairs Unit. As a Legal Counsel with us, you will be part of a team with three other legal counsels. The unit currently consists of nearly 20 committed employees. The unit is responsible for overarching legal issues, international matters, registry, reception, and switchboard. Your Responsibilities As a Legal Counsel, you will quality-assure the Swedish Competition Authority's operations from an administrative law perspective. You will therefore work extensively on issues and projects related to administrative law, public access and confidentiality, and data protection legislation. In your role, you will also handle issues concerning individual rights in connection with the authority's tasks in competition and procurement areas. This may involve, for example, considering the scope and design of the authority's injunctions or the extent to which a party should have insight into supervisory matters. The work also includes developing routines and working methods, including drafting governance documents. When needed, you will represent the Swedish Competition Authority in court proceedings related to legal matters. Qualifications: - Law degree - Several years of relevant, qualified work experience as a lawyer in the public sector - Excellent ability to express yourself clearly, simply, and comprehensibly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing To thrive in the role, we seek someone with good collaborative skills who enjoys working with others, as you will have many contact points both within and outside the authority. You should be self-driven, take responsibility for your tasks, and be able to drive issues forward. It is also important that you have high integrity, good judgment, and are solution-oriented with the ability to find appropriate solutions for issues that arise in the operations. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
