Music Teacher for Primary School Grades 1-6

Säter Culture School encompasses both primary school grades 1-9, adapted primary school, and voluntary culture school instruction. Our educators often work in both areas depending on the organization's needs and job scope. In our voluntary activities, we offer music, dance, theater, singing, and music production. We have a working approach where staff are involved in decision-making processes regarding organizational development and issues, which requires high levels of participation, commitment, and responsibility. Since the candidate will work at multiple schools, good social skills are required, along with being an organized, flexible person with clear structure and willingness to collaborate. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Music instruction in grades 1-6 (50%) Your primary task is to work with the regular music teacher to implement, co-plan, and organize music instruction in grades 1-6. You will be part of a team working closely together on all matters related to primary school. To create security, study calm, and opportunities to achieve subject goals, Säter Culture School typically organizes class instruction with two teachers - a main music teacher and a companion/resource teacher (half-class instruction). QUALIFICATIONS Music Teacher You are a licensed music teacher or music educator with similar competence, such as folk high school/music line. Your teaching is characterized by good leadership and an approach based on research and proven experience, and you continuously develop your methods and working styles. Driving license B is required as we work at multiple schools. Extensive experience teaching in primary school and leading groups and taking responsibility is meritorious. You are accustomed to organizing and planning work. You are proficient in one or more instruments. For example, accompanying on piano or guitar. Ensemble leadership is meritorious. Good IT skills are required, along with the ability to search for and engage with information. You have the ability to work with other people: to listen, show empathy and respect. You are unpretentious and acknowledge and reward others' contributions. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. You have the ability to plan and organize your work. You are adept at setting goals, organizing resources, following up, and completing activities. OTHER Position scope: 50% from January 2026-May 2026
