About this role

As a Company Sergeant Major in the GOU Department at the Military Academy Halmstad (MHS H), you will be a key person in the training of future specialist officers. You will work closely with the company commander and platoon leaders to ensure high quality in the training and development of the cadets. The position involves both planning responsibilities and pedagogical support in a dynamic and development-oriented environment. About the Unit The Education Unit at MHS H trains future specialist and reserve officers as well as experienced specialist officers for higher positions. The unit consists of three departments and two program management teams with a total of approximately 45 employees. You will belong to the GOU Department, which is responsible for the training of cadets in the Specialist Officer Training and Reserve Officer Training (GOU). The department works closely with other parts of the Education Unit to ensure a cohesive and high-quality educational operation. Main Responsibilities · Support the company commander in planning, leading, and coordinating training in the GOU Department. · Assist the platoon leaders in their work with planning, implementation, and follow-up of the cadets' training. · Monitor the cadets' performance, behavior, and team spirit. · Plan and conduct the company’s part in induction and field exercises. · Contribute as an exercise leader or teacher in training as needed. Requirements Qualifications · Experience in leading and coordinating operations within the Armed Forces. · Experience in long-term educational planning. · Basic professional officer training within the Armed Forces (SO7). · Class B driver's license. You are communicative, collaborative, and have an ease in building relationships both within and outside the Armed Forces. You are engaged, pedagogical, and capable of working independently. You also need to have physical and mental endurance to handle a varied and at times demanding job. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
