About this role

In Sandviken, the world is always present. Here, we feel at home and make each other better. As an employee of Sandviken Municipality, you hold one of Sweden's most important jobs. Therefore, it is essential for us that you enjoy your work and feel that your contributions are valuable to the community. We believe that the path to achieving this is for everyone, whether a manager or an employee, to strive to make each other better. The best work is done together. Through a holistic perspective, collaboration, dialogue, and by leveraging each other's differences. As an employer and employees, we work together for a long-term and sustainable working life. This, in turn, leads to a successful and developing municipality. When we make each other better – we make Sandviken Municipality better! Our employees are an important asset, and we actively work to ensure that everyone feels good in body and mind. Sandviken Municipality also offers several employee benefits that promote health, including: • wellness allowance • health-promoting activities • vacation exchange • annual working hours • extra vacation days when you turn 40 and 50 • employee and leisure association Pulsen Citizen Service is part of the Municipal Executive Administration and is the entry point into the municipality. As a municipal guide, your primary focus is to help those who contact us to quickly and smoothly get answers to their questions and matters. You also contribute ideas that simplify and improve municipal services within the organization. We are now looking for a new colleague who is a service and reception professional and enjoys being in an environment where we continuously develop each other and our operations. JOB DESCRIPTION As a municipal guide, you assist citizens with information, advice, and preparation of matters throughout the municipality. You resolve many of the cases yourself with the support of colleagues, operational systems, and databases, but you also need to distribute cases to case handlers in other units. The tasks are very varied. One moment you inform about how to apply for preschool or when a course at Läroviken starts, and the next moment you receive a report of a fault. We handle approximately 5,000 cases each month. We primarily do this via phone, but also through chat, email, e-services, and visits to our reception in the City Hall. Citizen Service plays a key role in providing service by giving quick and accurate answers to citizens' questions and helping to connect them with the right people in the municipality. An important part of our work is to contribute to making the service even better. This means we have a lot of contact with our colleagues in the various administrations. We are ambassadors for service and therefore need to have the ability to drive issues forward in the organization related to service development. You will be part of a team of nine colleagues where you collaborate and support each other to solve the common tasks in the best possible way. Everyone shares a common responsibility for our core mission to assist citizens, but there is also the opportunity to take on other tasks and roles within our mission. QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? As a person, you have the ability to listen, understand, and adapt your message and approach based on our citizens' varying needs. It is crucial that you are service-oriented and have a genuine interest in helping others. You are communicative and want to collaborate and create connections with colleagues within the team and the organization. You work in a large flow of events and cases, so you need to be good at searching, structuring, and documenting information. Switching between different systems and tools is something you are accustomed to. At times, many citizens contact the municipality simultaneously, creating high pressure in our channels. Therefore, we are looking for someone who thrives on managing multiple cases at once, easily adapts to changing circumstances, and quickly identifies what needs to be prioritized. We are looking for you who: • have an academic education in pedagogy or communication, or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. • have relevant professional experience for the position, for example, have worked in service professions, preferably in customer service, support, reception, hotel, restaurant, retail, or similar. Or from municipal operations that have involved recurring contact with citizens. • have high digital competence, which means you easily learn different IT systems and switch between various tools and programs. • have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you: • have experience in customer service work via phone. • have experience working with case management in a system. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
