Your Mission
The Legal and Administrative Unit's mission includes contributing qualified expertise and service to committees, the municipal board, and municipal council, ensuring a unified case management process and preparation of referrals and motions for the entire municipality.
The unit's areas of operation also include registry, archives, legal affairs and investigation, as well as election coordination.
As a Municipal Secretary, you will support one or more political bodies, primarily within the municipal board and its committee processes. You will assist the political body's chairperson before, during, and after committee meetings. Your tasks will include quality assuring decision documentation, administering mailings to elected officials, and recording meeting minutes. This is the perfect job for someone who has an eye for details and understands how they fit into the bigger picture of a politically governed organization.
You will need to be flexible with your working hours as meetings sometimes occur in the evening. You'll work in a flexible office environment with opportunities for remote work when possible.
The position is located in the Legal and Administrative Unit, where you'll work alongside other municipal and committee secretaries, municipal lawyers, archivists, registrars, and coordinators. Your Experience
- University degree in political science, law, or equivalent
- Experience in public administration and understanding of politically governed organizations
- Two years of experience as a municipal or committee secretary
- Excellent Swedish language skills, both oral and written
- High digital literacy with proficiency in Office programs and experience working in document and case management systems
Meritorious
- Knowledge of municipal law and/or experience in case management
