In the Stockholm North Police District, nearly one million residents live. Even more work, pass through, and stay here every day. Our geographical area spans 14 municipalities. The Stockholm North Police District is divided into seven local police areas: Norrtälje, Southern Roslagen, Sollentuna, Solna, Järva, Järfälla, and Vällingby. At the district level, there are investigation duty sections, serious crime sections, intelligence sections, domestic violence sections, and operational support sections. Additionally, there is a district police office.
The Järva Local Police Area is part of the Stockholm North Police District. Within the local police area, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, intelligence groups, as well as support and service.
WORK TASKS
The main mission as a community police officer is to drive the Police Authority's crime prevention and safety-creating work in collaboration with the municipality and local community. More specifically, you will:
• Work based on the local problem picture for crime prevention and safety-creating measures
• Play an active role in collaborative efforts between the Järva district administration and the local police area
• Collaborate with internal and external partners such as municipality, property owners, schools, and businesses
• Together with colleagues, drive the development of the community police officer's mission forward
QUALIFICATIONS
This is an opportunity for those who have:
• Swedish approved police exam in accordance with the Police Ordinance (2014:1104)
• Experience in crime prevention and safety-creating work
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Class B driver's license
It is meritorious if you also have:
• Experience collaborating with actors both internally and externally
• Experience working based on a local problem picture
• Experience leading work in project form
Personal Qualities:
As the local police area is complex, we seek someone who is flexible and able to take responsibility across multiple operational branches and has a positive attitude towards change. As a community police officer, you will represent the police in collaboration with external stakeholders, so it is crucial that you can cooperate and collaborate with others. This role will also involve independent work where you take your own initiatives and drive development. You will also hold presentations and speak in front of groups, which will require strong communication skills.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
