Ref: 20252597 As a Communications Specialist at the Cultural Administration, you will become part of our dedicated team that collaboratively plans, creates, and implements communication initiatives – both externally and internally. The role combines strategic thinking with practical execution, and is ideal for someone who wants to work with both the big picture and details. We work editorially and proactively with stories in text, images, and video content. Through digital platforms and social media, we highlight Malmö's cultural activities and make them accessible to the city's residents. You will provide communication support closely tied to the administration's various departments, with a special focus on Malmö Art Museum. The work may also involve participating in larger communication projects within the administration and at a city-wide level. Evening work may be required in this position. You will report to the Communications Director. Duties - Develop and follow up communication plans for various projects and activities. - Conduct target group analysis and adapt communication to different target groups' needs. - Plan, produce, and publish content in text, images, and film for digital and social channels. - Contribute to editorial planning and strategic communication work together with colleagues. - Provide strategic and operational communication support to administration activities. - Work on project communication related to Malmö Art Museum. - Participate in and contribute to city-wide communication initiatives. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: - Has a university degree in Media and Communication Studies (180 ECTS) or other education deemed equivalent and relevant by the employer. - Has at least three years of experience in both strategic and operational communication work. - Has experience developing communication plans, target group analyses, and messaging platforms. - Has experience producing targeted content for different channels. - Has excellent ability to express oneself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and preferably in English. Additional languages are meritorious. - Can initiate, structure, and plan work, with good knowledge of Office Suite, InDesign, and experience with generative AI. - Is independent and collaborative, enjoying working closely with colleagues, managers, and various activities. - Is structured, curious, solution-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Has extensive experience with social media and digital communication. - Experience working for a politically governed organization is meritorious. About the Workplace The position is located in the Communications Department of the Cultural Administration Staff. Our office is centrally located in Malmö, with the city right outside the door.
