The Communications and Growth Unit is part of the municipal executive administration, and your immediate supervisor will be the municipal director. The unit consists of eight employees working in the areas of communication, culture, and business. The administration is organized under the municipal council. Your Responsibilities As the Head of Communications and Growth, you will take a comprehensive approach to the municipality's work in communication, business, and culture. You will lead the operations based on political goals and create favorable conditions for an open and communicative organization, a growing business sector, and an attractive Håbo where people want to live, thrive, and work. You will represent the municipality in strategic contexts and play a central role in understanding and navigating the political process. Your responsibilities include driving long-term development, strengthening collaboration within the organization, and building partnerships with businesses, cultural actors, and other external parties that are important for Håbo's future. You will have overall responsibility for developing and clarifying Håbo Municipality's brand, both as a place and as an employer, ensuring that communication efforts contribute to positive internal and external development of the municipality. The role involves leading strategic development processes, monitoring trends and conditions in the external environment, and translating insights into opportunities and operational work together with your team. A good understanding of communication, culture, business, and market conditions is crucial for advancing the work. Qualifications - Academic education in communication or other relevant education deemed equivalent by the employer - Experience leading strategically oriented work in communication, cultural issues, and/or business development - Good understanding of business conditions and market dynamics - Experience in building and developing relationships both internally and externally - Documented experience in communication work within the public and/or private sector - Documented leadership experience, where you motivate and inspire others - Knowledge of the public sector and politically governed organizations is advantageous We Are Looking For You You have a holistic perspective and an analytical, strategic, and systematic approach to work.
