The administrative office of the School of Music is responsible for operational support primarily for the school's musician and music teacher training programs. The office provides close and subject-specific service to students, teachers, researchers, and other staff. Our communicator works on communicating the activities of the School of Music internally and to the surrounding community, in close collaboration with the faculty's other communicators and based on the current communication plan. **Job Responsibilities** As a temporary communicator at the School of Music, you will work strategically and operationally with the school's communication and marketing efforts in close collaboration with the staff and management of the School of Music. You will manage, develop, and serve as editor for the School of Music's website, which is currently undergoing development as part of the so-called ESU project at Lund University. Furthermore, you will create content in the form of text, audio, images, and video, such as news, events, alumni profiles, or other promotional material for the web, social media, or printed formats. We maintain a calendar on the web and the school's digital screens that you will update and keep current. Both staff and managers will turn to you for support in communication matters. You will have the faculty's communication network as support in your work, which meets regularly for dialogue on current issues and ongoing projects. **Qualifications** For the position, the following is required: We are looking for someone with a higher education degree equivalent to at least a bachelor's degree (180 credits) in media and communication or a related field. You have experience as a writer in both Swedish and English, and in breaking down complex information into understandable communication tailored to the needs and contexts of different target groups. You have worked as a web editor and with other digital communication, including social media, and have good knowledge of graphic design, layout, and image management. Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written Swedish and English is required, as the work involves communication in both languages. Personal qualities required for the position include being self-driven, pedagogical, creative, attentive, collaborative, and structured. **Meritorious:** Experience in both strategic and operational communication work in a large, preferably public, organization. Experience in marketing within education and/or music activities. Experience working with various web publishing tools. Knowledge in music and/or music education. Please indicate your salary expectations in your application. The position is a temporary role with immediate start until June 15, 2026, or until the regular incumbent returns to work. The Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts in Malmö is one of eight faculties at Lund University and consists of the School of Art, the School of Music, and the School of Theatre, as well as the Inter Arts Center. The Faculty offers bachelor's, master's, and master's programs in fine arts, music, and theatre, as well as a number of courses of varying scope. It also conducts doctoral education and research with an artistic focus and in music education. At the School of Music, musicians, church musicians, composers/arrangers, and music teachers are trained. Additionally, doctoral education in music education and artistic research in music is offered, along with independent courses. The School of Music collaborates with the surrounding music and cultural community. It is a relatively large workplace with about 200 employees and over 1,000 students, offering a creative and stimulating environment with high artistic and educational goals.
