About the Workplace
The City of Helsingborg as an employer has approximately 10,000 employees and 470 managers. The City Management Administration is one of nine departments and is led by our Deputy City Director. To fulfill our mission, we are organized into seven different divisions. Our administration has an important and exciting mission where we exist for others - for colleagues, other departments, Helsingborg residents and businesses, to name a few. The City Management Administration will - lead, develop and coordinate the municipality's activities in overarching and common areas, - offer services and products requested by the City Council, departments and companies, including shared functions targeting Helsingborg residents directly, - create conditions for positive development of Helsingborg in collaboration with external partners.
The Communications Unit consists of 16 employees working with strategic and operational communication across various specialist areas, such as external and internal communication, branding, crisis communication, design, and press.
Job Responsibilities
As a communications specialist with us, you'll have a varied and developmental assignment. You'll work on communication from idea to delivery in both large and small projects. You'll collaborate with colleagues in larger projects while taking more individual responsibility in smaller ones. Your main focus is planning, producing, publishing, and following up communication. Occasionally, you'll also analyze needs, develop communication strategies and plans, and then coordinate all elements.
A crucial part of the assignment is coaching and advising colleagues and managers on communication issues. You'll often be the one translating strategic decisions into practical communication, ensuring coherence in both tone and content. Together, we create communication that engages, explains, and guides. We always keep Helsingborg residents in focus.

Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who:
• Have relevant academic education in communication/journalism or equivalent
• Have experience with communication work in municipal organizations
• Have experience in project management and driving communication projects through all phases
• Are experienced in creating text, photo, and video for various channels
• Have experience creating marketing and advertisements
• Can coach and advise on communication matters
• Have experience with crisis communication
