RK Communication is the Swedish Government Offices' joint communication function and is responsible for conveying the government's policy in external and internal communication. The current position involves communication support for the Prime Minister's Office, as well as administrative and coordinating tasks related to live broadcasts of government press conferences. As a communicator for the Prime Minister's Office, you will provide operational and communicative support to the political staff of the Prime Minister and EU Minister, assist at press conferences and with media logistics, and respond to letters from the public. The other part of the position, as a coordinator at the Government Offices' press center, involves receiving and handling press conference bookings from departments, administering staffing for these, and regularly having contact with external suppliers and consultants. Your Background We are looking for someone with an academic degree in media and communication studies or other education deemed relevant for the position. We are looking for someone with very good Swedish skills and who is a skilled writer with the ability to formulate clear and target-adapted messages. You should also have experience with monitoring the world around you, preparing news summaries, and following up communication efforts in digital channels. You have worked with web publishing and are familiar with publishing tools such as Optimizely or similar. Furthermore, you have worked with press communication – such as writing press releases, assisting at press conferences, or other media handling. You have previous experience with administrative tasks such as handling bookings, orders, and quotes. You should have current experience in the aforementioned areas from a government agency, politically governed organization, or other large organization. It is meritorious if you have handled incoming inquiries from the public. Additionally, it is meritorious if you have current experience from the Government Offices in these areas and thus knowledge of the agency's processes.
