Communications Specialist

Mariebergsskogen AB - Karlstad City Park is owned by the City of Karlstad and is Värmland's largest visitor destination. Our work varies with the season, and we have up to approximately 80 employees during the summer. We manage facilities, playgrounds, refreshment sales, green areas, Naturum Värmland, the Lillskogen zoo, and several major events in the park. We are now seeking someone who wants to work part-time as a communications specialist at Mariebergsskogen AB, approximately one day per week during semesters and full-time for about two months during the summer. We know that our visitors want quick and easy access to information, tips, and answers to their questions before, during, and after their visit. Expectations are high, and customer service is crucial - you will play a significant role. Job Responsibilities As a communications specialist at Mariebergsskogen AB, you'll have an exciting, varied, and developmental job in an amazing environment. In close collaboration with our communications team, you'll work with text and images for social media, website, and app. You'll develop graphic materials according to our brand profile, create posters in the park, and support colleagues where needed - to showcase everything the park has to offer. Here, you'll have the chance to contribute your communication skills, whether in video media, photography, or something you're particularly passionate about. Internal communication is equally important as external communication. You'll make a difference for both our visitors and your colleagues. Qualifications We're seeking candidates with post-secondary education in communication and PR or equivalent, preferably with communication experience. You excel at writing and naturally adapt your language style to the target audience and communication channel. You are service-oriented and attracted to a workplace with diverse tasks, unafraid to step in where needed. You must be comfortable working independently, as you'll be the sole communications specialist during summer vacations. You should have knowledge of InDesign and other Adobe programs.
