About this role

Do you want to help shape a sustainable Eslöv? We are looking for an engaged municipal ecologist/environmental strategist who wants to contribute to the municipality's environmental efforts and sustainable development. With us, you will work broadly on water, nature, outdoor, and environmental issues alongside knowledgeable and dedicated colleagues. Your mission As a municipal ecologist/environmental strategist, you will have a varied and meaningful role that includes both strategic and operational components. You will be an important part of the municipality's environmental and nature conservation work in Eslöv. Your responsibilities will include: • Participating in the work on strategic water issues and providing biological expertise in planning processes. • Collaborating with our current municipal ecologist on nature conservation projects. • Working on the management and maintenance of nature reserves, municipal natural areas, and green spaces. • Collaborating with colleagues within the administration, across departments, and with external partners. • Contributing to the initiation of long-term work on outdoor issues at a strategic level. • Preparing and presenting cases for the Environmental and Community Development Committee. Your experience You have a background that gives you confidence in working with environmental issues in a municipal context. You enjoy driving processes, collaborating broadly, and using your knowledge to find practical solutions. We are looking for someone who has: • A degree in natural sciences with a focus on biology or another relevant field. • Experience in driving and leading projects or processes within the environmental sector. • Strong communication skills in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. • A good ability to collaborate in networks, both internally and externally. • A valid driver's license (B category). It is an advantage if you have experience with water issues, outdoor life, or nature conservation related to community development processes. Is this you? About the workplace The position is located in the Department of Administration and Environment within the Environmental and Community Development Administration. You will be part of a team with an environmental strategist, municipal ecologist, and energy coordinator. The administration also includes oversight according to the Environmental Code, food control, street-traffic-park management, as well as mapping and construction activities.
