Description
Åtteråsskolan is a preschool to grade 3 school located in a scenic environment with approximately 240 students distributed across four grade levels from preschool class to grade 3.
We work with age-homogeneous groups from preschool class to grade 3. The preschool class has three parallel classes, and grades 1, 2, and 3 have two parallel classes. The school has five after-school care departments.
Job Duties
You will work as a primary school teacher in grades 1-3, where we employ a two-teacher system. You and your teaching colleague are both responsible teachers who instruct in full-class, larger or smaller groups, and individually. You will be part of a work team that collectively leads and develops pedagogical work towards curriculum goals. The position will be adapted to the school's and students' needs and your qualifications. You are well-versed in guiding documents and plan your instruction based on them. You have a strong interest in using modern technology in teaching. In Gislaved Municipality, we use tablets as a natural part of pedagogical work in primary school.
Part of your position will be in the school's after-school care, where you will plan and lead pedagogical work with colleagues based on the curriculum goals for after-school care.
Qualifications
- Certified primary school teacher for preschool to grade 3 and after-school care
- Experience working in school and/or after-school care
- Familiar with implementing additional adaptations
- Flexible regarding content and working hours to best meet our students and operations
- Clear, organized, well-structured, attentive, and most importantly - a team player
- Engaged in your assignment and passionate about guiding students in their academic and social development
- Strong ability to create positive relationships with students and guardians
- Comfortable leading and/or driving development issues, promoting new thoughts and ideas that advance Åtteråsskolan
- Solution-oriented with an ability to create a positive atmosphere and work environment
