ABOUT THE POSITION: Your Role: As the Head Chef at Elwing & Co, you will be a key person in daily production and an important part of the creative team. You lead, plan, and develop kitchen operations – focusing on both quality and joy at work. You will have overall responsibility for the kitchen's production of both hot and cold dishes, and you will lead, motivate, and develop your team, which consists of both permanent and hourly employees. You will work alongside the cold kitchen supervisor and the sous chef to ensure smooth and effective collaboration in the kitchen. You will work based on calculations and recipes, monitor purchases and quality, and ensure that operations maintain high standards both in taste and financially. The role includes delivery checks, monitoring raw material prices and availability, as well as collaboration with our suppliers through Nores. You will plan purchases in a timely manner, minimize waste, and ensure that raw materials are used optimally. You will have the opportunity to work in a well-equipped production kitchen in Solna, where workdays vary between calm pre-production and intense delivery days. It is never monotonous – no two days are alike, and that is what makes the job enjoyable. Your responsibilities include, among others: • Leading and distributing daily work in the kitchen • Ensuring quality assurance, taste testing, and presentation of menus • Planning production and staffing based on orders and seasonal requirements • Creating a positive work environment where the team can grow and thrive • Ensuring that food safety procedures (HACCP) are followed and developed • Managing purchases, inventory, and reducing food waste through smart planning Who are you? You are a structured and solution-oriented leader with a great passion for food – and an equally great commitment to people. You thrive in a dynamic environment where planning and flexibility go hand in hand. You have an eye for detail, but also for the bigger picture: the team, logistics, and customer experience. We would like you to have: • Several years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a restaurant or catering environment • Experience in staff management and handling multiple orders and large volumes simultaneously • Good knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and diet variations • Creativity, but also practicality – you make things happen • A B driver's license (preferred but not required) Additionally, we see you as a pleasant person with a positive attitude, as well as being unpretentious, flexible, and collaborative. The position is based on annual working hours, which means that you plan your working hours according to the needs of the business. Working hours are primarily Monday to Friday, but evening and weekend work may occur during production for concerts, events, and client assignments.
