Are you passionate about good food and happy guests? We are now looking for two dedicated chefs to join our staff pool within the Meals Unit in Sala Municipality. With us, you will have a varied job with great diversity, creativity, and joy at work – where you make a difference every day.
About the position
As a pool chef, you will work wherever the need arises in any of our 21 kitchens – in preschools, primary schools, high schools, and elderly care. You will prepare well-cooked meals of high quality, whether you are working independently in a smaller kitchen or alongside colleagues in a larger kitchen.
Your responsibilities include:
- Preparation, cooking, and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and sometimes dinner
- Common kitchen tasks including cleaning and dishwashing
- Responsibility for orders and some administration in certain kitchens
- Weekend work every other weekend, including booking substitutes as needed
We are looking for someone who:
- Has good knowledge of ingredients, special diets, and hygiene routines
- Is service-oriented, flexible, and enjoys variety
- Has completed a hotel and restaurant program at the high school level or equivalent education
- Has several years of experience working independently as a chef in public or private meal operations
- Is computer literate and communicates fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Holds a valid driver's license (B) and has access to a personal vehicle
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability – we value commitment, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
Employment conditions:
- Permanent position, full-time
- Daytime hours with work every other weekend
- Start date according to agreement
- Individual salary setting. A probationary period may apply.
