The Children and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and Primary School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary education, and adapted primary education. About the Job
We are seeking chefs who want to contribute with commitment to Huddinge Municipality's new and consolidated meal organization. As a chef with us, you will help create nutritious, delicious, and sustainable meals for our students. Your main tasks will include:
• Planning, preparing, and cooking nutritionally balanced and varied meals according to the municipality's food policy and guidelines.
• Following special diet and allergy-adapted meals in accordance with medical certificates and student health team recommendations.
• Participating and being responsible for menu planning in collaboration with colleagues and nutrition managers, and entering these into the school meal app.
• Ensuring hygiene and food handling complies with applicable laws and HACCP.
• Responsible for economics, purchasing, and follow-up according to established routines.
• Contributing to good cooperation in the kitchen and with other staff in the operation and area.
• Having daily contact with guests - children, students, and educators - and contributing to a positive meal experience.
• Managing and being responsible for daily operations in the absence of a leading chef.
• Responsible for error reporting in the absence of a leading chef.
• Collaborating with schools and preschools on joint activities and participating in meal councils.
• Ensuring that their respective unit follows operational goals such as tender compliance, organic purchasing, waste management, and meets minimum requirements.
• Prioritizing operations according to crisis preparedness.
• Further developing knowledge, supporting colleagues in operations, and being responsible for personal development.
• Staying updated daily via phone and email.
Working hours for this position are 06:30-15:00. For this position, you must be able to present a valid criminal record extract before employment can begin.
About You
We are seeking someone with a genuine interest in cooking and service, who wants to contribute to a pleasant and safe meal environment for our students. You are creative, responsible, and enjoy working in a team.
Requirements:
• Culinary education at secondary or post-secondary level.
• Experience working in a kitchen.
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations in food handling.
• Training in special diets, food, or hygiene.
• Experience working in large kitchens or school restaurants.
We also appreciate if you have:
• Technical competence (ordering systems, office suite, etc.) - computer literacy.
• Knowledge of allergy diets and selective eating.
