Your Role with Us
We are seeking a chef for Milner School and a chef for Fjällbacka.
As a chef, you will work with qualified cooking. The job also includes safely preparing and handling special diets and menus for our guests with adapted meal requirements. You will plan, organize, and lead the daily kitchen work with your colleagues. This includes traditional kitchen tasks such as self-monitoring, ordering, invoice handling, dishwashing, cleaning, and more. Our guests are within the school. You will have daily contact with school staff and students and are expected to be a good ambassador for GS Meal Services.
At Milner School kitchen, you will work Monday to Friday. The position will be a resource with at least 50% placement at Milner. The remaining time you will work in area 8, which has kitchens in central Kristianstad.
At Fjällbacka, you will work in a care kitchen with weekend shifts, which means working every other weekend.
Who Are We Looking For?
We seek someone with approved grades from the restaurant and food program with a kitchen focus or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You have experience working in production kitchens and knowledge and experience with special diet cooking. We also want you to have experience with ordering and invoice handling. Good knowledge of food hygiene and self-monitoring is required. Of course, you have good computer skills, and knowledge and experience in meal planning software is meritorious. You can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
Your personal qualities are important, and we are looking for someone who is flexible and solution-oriented. This means you can work in other kitchens when needed, quickly adapt to changes, and reprioritize tasks when the situation requires. We want you to be attentive, cooperative, and enjoy working closely with both colleagues and the school. You have a positive and enthusiastic attitude and are passionate about combining cooking with meeting people. Your drive and commitment shine through in your daily work, and you like to be one step ahead to create the best possible experience. Contributing that little extra to both work colleagues and guests is important to you.
Since we have operations connected to childcare, you will need to provide a criminal record check according to regulations in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act if you are offered employment.
