Your New Job We are seeking a chef for Tenhult School. You will be part of a team of 3 chefs & 1 head chef, preparing meals for approximately 500 students. Together, you will work on planning, preparing, and cooking food that not only satisfies taste buds but also promotes health, well-being, and learning. Our school prioritizes sustainability and locally sourced ingredients, and we welcome candidates with a knack for varying menus to suit school children. Example Tasks: - Serve delicious and well-prepared meals - Cook from scratch according to guidelines for breakfast, lunch, and snacks - Create meals that are healthy, environmentally sustainable, and flavorful - Help plan nutritionally balanced menus and order current ingredients - Be a great kitchen ambassador, involving children in meals - Integrate meals into children's learning - Opportunity to influence young people's eating habits and health for a healthy lifestyle - Collaborate in a kitchen team of chefs to prepare school meals - Other typical kitchen tasks Welcome to Us As a chef in our kitchens, you'll work with happy, positive, and committed colleagues who are passionate about creating good, healthy food and contributing to a positive school environment. As an employee in Jönköping Municipality's catering organization, you belong to a geographical area with multiple kitchens. You will have a primary placement in one kitchen where you typically work. When circumstances change and the situation requires, you may need to step in at other kitchens. Your Competence We are seeking candidates who: - Have completed chef training - Are self-driven and can work independently - Have good knowledge of special diets and allergens - Communicate well with children and educators - Preferably have experience in large-scale kitchen or similar settings - Have excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written - Have basic IT skills We place significant emphasis on personal suitability.
