Chef for Havets Montessori Preschool Want to cook food that makes a difference – every day? At Havets Montessori Preschool, we are now seeking a dedicated chef who wants to create nutritious, delicious, and sustainable meals for our children. About Us At Havets Montessori Preschool, we are now building a production kitchen, which we are very proud of. Food is an important part of our health-promoting work, along with movement and recovery. Every day, we want to prepare nutritious and varied meals from scratch, using local, seasonal ingredients as much as possible. We believe in "sugar-smart" meals – full of flavor, color, and energy, but without unnecessary added sugar. During meals, children sit in small groups, where the chef welcomes them to the table and tells them about the day's menu. This makes the children involved and curious about what they are eating. Main Responsibilities · Plan and prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for approximately 30 children and staff. · Work based on seasonal and nutritional recommendations, focusing on nutritious, home-cooked food. · Manage orders, purchases, and food inventory. · Responsible for self-monitoring, hygiene, and food safety according to applicable laws and routines. · Adapt meals for special diets and allergies. · Participate in planning the organization's nutritional policy and health-promoting work. · If needed, support the child groups and contribute to the overall operation. We Are Looking for Someone Who: • Has education or experience as a chef, preferably in preschool/school. • Is passionate about home-cooked, nutritious, and sustainable cooking. • Is independent, organized, and creative in the kitchen. • Has good knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and special diets. • Enjoys children and thrives in an environment where everyone helps each other. • Has good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. • Is curious about Montessori pedagogy.
