The Hortlax production kitchen handles both cold and hot preparation, and job rotation is applied across different tasks. Duties also include work in the student restaurant, dishwashing, and cleaning. **Qualifications** We prefer that you have a culinary education at the high school level or equivalent experience deemed suitable by the employer. Sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required for safe handling and communication in a large kitchen. The job requires good physical fitness. **Desirable Skills** - Cooking from scratch in both cold and hot kitchens. - Self-monitoring, hygiene, and cleaning. - Experience with job rotation, flexibility, and teamwork. - Handling of raw materials and basic knowledge of special diets. - Ergonomic work practices and familiarity with kitchen equipment. - Knowledge of dietary policy guidelines. **Who Are We Looking For?** You are passionate about cooking with a focus on quality and "from scratch" preparation, as well as customer satisfaction. You are flexible, service-oriented, and able to adapt to the needs of the operation. You work confidently both independently and as part of a team, and you have a holistic view of the assignment. **More About the Position** - Permanent employment - Full-time position with working hours from Monday to Sunday, including service on public holidays, approximately every 7th weekend on rotation. - Working time: 37.5 hours per week. - Start date: January 2, 2026, or as agreed. We aim to contribute to good eating habits and sustainable development, with a particular focus on reducing food waste. Meal Services is part of the Property and Service Administration, which is also responsible for the maintenance of municipal buildings and ensuring that our facilities are clean and pleasant. The Hortlax production kitchen prepares approximately 1,400 portions per day for schools, preschools, and care facilities, of which about 500 portions are served in our student restaurant.
