In Ronneby Municipality, we have consolidated all kitchens into a shared catering unit. We have a politically approved meal policy and a goal-oriented approach.
We prepare much of our food from scratch and aim to increase the proportion of organic food while reducing waste and our climate footprint. We always greet our guests with excellent service and a warm welcome.
The catering unit currently consists of approximately 30 kitchens with 1-20 employees in each kitchen. We have production kitchens in most preschools and care facilities. There are also 3 large production kitchens that deliver meals to preschools, schools, and care services. In total, we serve approximately 6,000 portions per day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your placement will be in the kitchen at Parkdala School.
The kitchen has 5 employees, and we prepare lunch for approximately 500 students in grades 4-9. Breakfast is also served to after-school program students.
Job tasks include daily cooking where you'll be responsible for special dietary meals for school students. This also involves self-monitoring, food quality assurance, and other kitchen and restaurant tasks such as dishwashing, cleaning, and bread baking.
You will help develop the operation, ensure that set goals are met and guidelines are followed, and contribute to a good work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a candidate who is a trained chef or has equivalent education as deemed by the employer.
You should have good knowledge of large-scale kitchen production, special diets, relevant legislation, self-monitoring, and kitchen economics. The work requires good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing, and good computer proficiency.

We prefer candidates with previous professional experience as a chef. Experience in the public sector is considered an advantage.
You are flexible, have a genuine interest in meals, and enjoy interacting with children and elderly in their daily lives. You have the ability to be self-driven and take responsibility while contributing to good teamwork. You have a strong sense of service.
