Job Description
Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer substitute position as a cook at SiS.
The work team consists of one cook and a kitchen assistant. Responsibilities will include cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, dishwashing, and unpacking provisions.
The role requires you to ensure that the institution's clients receive lunch and dinner as needed, as well as prepare meals for the weekend. If necessary, alongside your colleagues, you will not only prepare daily meals but also place orders for provisions, plan the menu, pack items, and prepare goods for department orders. You will also cater to special dietary needs, prepare salads, and handle pre- and post-cooking tasks, which involve everything from meal planning and execution to dishwashing and cleaning.
As a part-time cook at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training program for one week to prepare you for your assignment.
Qualifications
You possess a culinary education, such as a chef's qualification, or other relevant experience assessed as equivalent by the employer. You master the Swedish language well, both spoken and written, as much communication occurs both internally and externally with suppliers. Personal suitability is of central importance.
You should have:
• Culinary education/chef qualification or other training deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience in kitchen/restaurant or food production is advantageous.
