About this role

Klara Gymnasium Östra is seeking a teacher in English and Religion! Working as a teacher at Klara Theoretical Gymnasium means being part of a school that truly sees and places the student at the center. We call it "edyoucation" – an approach that focuses on theoretical knowledge and the development of students' personal skills, social competence, and emotional intelligence. As a teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to be a key player in this development, where your efforts contribute to motivating and inspiring students to reach their full potential. Klara Gymnasium Östra in Stockholm is an independent upper secondary school located in Gärdet, with approximately 680 students for the academic year 2025/26 and around 40 staff members. The school started in 2012 and offers three college preparatory programs: Economics, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. We are a multicultural school, welcoming students from all over the Stockholm area with diverse educational backgrounds. What we are looking for We are seeking a licensed teacher in English and Religion. This is a permanent position at 85%, starting on January 12 or by agreement. We also believe that your work is not just about imparting knowledge, but about helping each student navigate life with confidence and responsibility. Here, you will coach students to succeed in their studies and motivate them for what the future has to offer. You should be interested in working in a multicultural environment and have experience working with multilingual students and promoting language development. You will be part of both a program team and a subject team, so an interest in collaborative work contributing to collegial learning is preferred. Mentorship will also be part of the role.
