About this role
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (Statens institutionsstyrelse, SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS also implements secure care for youth. We operate youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS youth home Klarälvsgården accommodates non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial issues as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse. We are tasked with receiving boys who have an increased need for psychiatric interventions.

At SiS youth home Klarälvsgården, we operate our own school in conjunction with treatment for youth placed in round-the-clock care. Collaboration between the school and the departments is crucial to how well we succeed in motivating young people to turn a negative trajectory into something that can lead to better opportunities for a good life. The school consists of a principal, teachers, and a special educator who collaboratively plan, teach, evaluate, and develop the educational work at the institution. A student health team is also present. The institution also provides its own health care services with a nurse and psychologist.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a teacher in Swedish as a second language (SV/SVA) and social studies (HI GY).

A valid driver's license is required as the job sometimes involves travel between or outside the institution.
