Category Area Manager Job Description
In the role of Category Area Manager, you will play a central role with your team in developing the business and creating an attractive product assortment for our customers in Construction & Paint and Electrical & Lighting, while ensuring that set goals and KPIs for sales, profitability, assortment, and inventory are met.
You are overall responsible for the strategic assortment development, sales planning, and pricing strategy for the category area across all markets, aligned with established goals. You will contribute proactive analyses and reporting, and ensure action plans to achieve set targets.
Your team consists of Category Manager and Category Planner, where you will lead the department's continued development in employee engagement and cross-functional collaborations. As Category Area Manager, you will report to the Assortment Manager.
What Should Be in Your CV?
We are seeking candidates with extensive management and leadership experience. You should have several years of purchasing experience, preferably in a similar role within an international company. Experience with assortment development, negotiation, sourcing, and pricing is required, with additional experience in DIY and retail being advantageous. A college degree in economics/marketing is preferred. You must be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in Office programs and experience with business and follow-up systems is essential.

• Position is a full-time, permanent role with a 6-month probationary period, located at Jula's headquarters in Skara.
