Unga Allergiker (UA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children and young people aged 6 to 29 who have asthma, allergies, or other sensitivities. We engage in social activities, influence decision-makers, and advocate for a society that does not limit young individuals with asthma and allergies. UA has approximately 1,300 members and an office with two employees. We are now seeking a head of office as our current secretary general will be going on parental leave.
As the head of office, you will have overall responsibility for the daily operations of the office and will serve as a vital link between the office and the board of the association. This is a broad and developmental role where you will combine administration, leadership, and coordination.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Leading the office's work, including personnel management (work leadership, employee reviews, recruitment).
• Maintaining close contact with the chairperson and preparing materials for the board meetings.
• Coordinating and following up on UA's operational plan and the board's decisions.
• Overseeing budget and accounting matters, including economic monitoring and liaising with our financial consultant.
• Seeking grants and funding (e.g., state grants, foundations, and project support).
• Participating in the development of the association alongside the office and the board.
• Contributing to the daily tasks and practical work of the office.
We are looking for candidates who:
• Have strong communication skills and enjoy collaboration.
• Are structured, self-motivated, and take responsibility.
• Have experience in leadership, administration, and finance.
• Thrive in a role where you can both plan and execute.
It is advantageous if you have:
• Experience with asthma/allergies or personal experience.
• Knowledge of youth organization and rights.
• Experience with budgeting or accounting.
• Previous volunteer engagement (at least 2 years).
About the position
Extent: 80% temporary position until the permanent employee returns (until August 30, 2027).
Location: Our newly relocated premises at Tomtebodavägen 3B, Solna (with the possibility of some remote work).
Start Date: Early February 2026 (initially 60% during the introduction).
Agreement: Fremia–Unionen/Akademikerförbunden.
Benefits: Wellness hour, wellness subsidy (300 SEK/month for full-time), competence allowance, and a 37.5-hour workweek.
Background check: Required upon employment.
Salary
Fixed monthly salary according to individual salary setting, within the range of 26,000–29,000 SEK/month based on experience.
