The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and are now seeking more employees. We primarily employ prison officers, but also healthcare personnel, teachers, administrators, production managers, and other important professional groups. Inmates are engaged in education, treatment programs, workshop work, assembly, and packaging assignments – all to create structure, meaning, and conditions for a better future. The Österåker facility is in an exciting expansion phase, with new prison spaces and employment areas coming into operation between 2025 and 2027. There are great opportunities to grow with the organization – both in number of employees and in new, exciting roles. The facility is located outside Åkersberga – perfect for those who appreciate avoiding rush hour traffic. Driving is the most convenient way to get here. The Täby facility is a small prison with a familial environment and good commuting options. Both facilities offer staff parking. We prioritize a health-promoting work environment, and the Österåker facility has a staff gym. There is also an appreciated staff restaurant where you can eat and socialize with colleagues. As an administrative assistant, you will have close contact with external actors and represent the Prison and Probation Service to partners and the public. The job requires knowledge of public access to information while ensuring confidentiality is maintained. The nature of the tasks does not allow for remote work. You should have good judgment, be quality-conscious, make appropriate priorities, and be accustomed to working in a high-tempo environment. The administrative role is a service function requiring the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with other facility employees and actors within and outside the agency.
